Houston Area Jewelry Designer Donates Custom Medals of Sterling Silver and Gold to The Woodlands Marathon for Winners of the Men’s and Women’s Divisions this March

HOUSTON – February 11, 2013 – The winners of the men’s and women’s division of this year’s The Woodlands Marathon will receive custom designed medals created and donated by Markle Luxury Jewelers. Made with real sterling silver and gold, the medals represent not only Markle’s fine jewelry designing services, but also their heart for supporting The Woodlands community

Non-profit organizations benefiting from marathon proceeds include, St Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital, Girls on the Run, Interfaith of The Woodlands, NMS (National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Freedom Place (A Safe Haven From Child Sex Trafficking), Team COCI (Cherish Our Children International), HOPE (The Will Herndon Fund for Juvenile Batten Disease Research), CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children), and The Salvation Army.

Yard Sale in The Woodlands to Benefit The Montgomery Country Women’s Center

The Woodlands Institute for Health and Wellness hosts a yard sale to help raise funds for local charity benefiting abuse victims

Houston, TX – October 30, 2012 – On Saturday, November 17, The Woodlands Institute for Health and Wellness (TWIHW) will host their annual yard sale. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit The Montgomery County Women’s Center (MCWC), a non-profit organization that provides abuse victims and their children with emergency shelter, transitional housing, legal services, and counseling. The charity also coordinates educational outreach programs in the Greater North Houston community.

Unsold items left over after yard sale will be donated to MCWC’s resale shop in The Woodlands. Revenue from the resale shop provide the charity with much needed funds so they can house and feed over 60 women and children on a daily basis.

“Leveraging our annual yard sale to raise money for such a wonderful, family oriented organization just makes sense,” says Dr. Mila McManus, founder of TWIHW. “The Montgomery Country Women’s Center performs a priceless service to our community by helping women overcome profound hardship and build safe, new lives for themselves and their kids. The staff are truly inspiring group of people and it’s an honor to be able to work with them.”
