Gardening & Weeds: The Beauty of Wild, Uninvited Nature

Sometimes weeds are the prettiest flowers in the garden. They are little bits of God’s wild, beautiful nature, gently reminding us that we are not in control, even of our lawns, no matter how often we mow, weed whack, fertilize, or trim.  Nature can invade our pruned and manicured landscapes in less than a day and with 1/100th of the effort. In fact, if we were to abandon our gardens for just a couple years, the only thing left behind to indicate there had ever been an orderly garden there at all might be a few stones, a lonely gnome, and the vestiges of non-indigenous plants run wild.
